This one took a long while xD

This is centered around my favorite pairing in FFXII, Vaan and Ashe. I know they, unlike the pairings I've done before in the ScreamWorks series, aren't officially a couple but I wanted to throw a monkey wrench into everyone's gears xD

CONCEPT: This one was inspired by the song 'Love, The Hardest Way'. Coming off the heels of VictorxRuina and ZidanexGarnet, I wanted to do something a little more mature in terms of the relationship. In order to do that, I had to make this slightly AU (Alternate-Universe), and I decided to try and avoid the usual cliches. I hope I got past that. I don't know what it is about this one, but I think it is my favorite in the ScreamWorks series (tied with Zidane's) thus far.

For some reason I keep getting a picture in my head of these two against a black and pink heartagram xD

The line that is written before the story starts is what pulled me through this, because I've always believed that if you love someone, you should love them now because you may not be able to later. That's the case in this one-shot, Ashe loves Vaan yet she feels she can't while she is Queen but Vaan convinces her otherwise xD
